The Käpsele Festival takes place at the Freiburg Exhibition Centre. Thanks to the city's central location and excellent transport links, travelling to the festival is easy from all directions.
We ask you to choose the most environmentally friendly way of travelling to keep the festival's carbon footprint low.

Travelling by bike / Frelo

Freiburg is the cycling city par excellence! You can bring your own bike or use the local Frelo bike hire system. There are plenty of bicycle parking spaces at the exhibition centre.

Tram line 4 and bus line 22 run to Messe Freiburg. Further information can be found in the VAG Freiburg timetable.

Travelling with Deutsche Bahn

Travel comfortably and sustainably to Freiburg with Deutsche Bahn. From Freiburg main station, you can get to Messe Freiburg in a short time on tram no. 4.

Travelling on foot

The walk from the main railway station to the exhibition centre is approx. 2.7 km and 36 minutes and is a pleasant option in good weather.

Travelling by car

Messe Freiburg has excellent links to the motorway network and is easy to reach.
The quickest route is via the A5 motorway (Frankfurt-Karlsruhe-Basel). Please take the Freiburg Mitte exit.
From the exit, simply follow the Messe Freiburg traffic guidance system. This will guide you directly to the exhibition centre.

• Parking fee: There are plenty of parking spaces available on the Messe Freiburg exhibition grounds. The parking fee is € 5.00.
• For electric cars: Of course, there are also charging stations for your electric car. The parking fee of € 5.00 as well as the charging fees apply.
